Murry and Laflamme's Breakthrough Stem Cell Research

The Seattle Times and other media outlets are covering the breakthrough stem cell research of Dr. Charles Murry and Dr. Mike Laflamme that is featured in the September issue of Nature Biotechnology.  Drs. Murry and Laflamme have successfully used human embryonic stem cells to regrow heart  muscles in rats after inducing heart attacks in them. 

Dr. Murry is a Professor with UW Medicine Pathology and Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Biology at the University of Washington Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.  Dr. Laflamme is an Assistant Professor with UW Medicine Pathology.
