Dr. Corinne Fligner Receives Medical Staff Award

Corinne Fligner, M.D., UW Medicine Pathology Associate Professor and Laboratory Medicine Adjunct Associate Professor, received the May 2009 UWMC Medical Staff Teamwork Leadership Caring Award.  The award was presented at the Anatomic Pathology All Staff Meeting on May 26th.  Dr. Fligner, Director of Autopsy and After Death Services at UWMC, was recognized and honored for her compassionate, patient care approach with a patient wishing to bury a transplanted organ in keeping with religious and cultural beliefs.
