Pathology Residency Training Program University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals
Program Description

EVALUATIONS

We intend for the Pathology Residency Training Program to provide the best possible training for each resident. Faculty at each rotation evaluate each resident using a standardized format at the completion of the rotation, and interim evaluation in the middle of longer rotations. Faculty are encouraged to discuss the evaluation with the resident. This process provides the resident with ongoing feedback for continued professional growth. Residents receive copies of all evaluations. The Program Director encourages residents to discuss concerns at any time. In the same spirit of continued improvement, residents complete an anonymous standardized evaluation of each rotation and service. The Program Director uses the confidential comments to review and improve rotations. The Chief Residents represent the housestaff on the Residency Management Committee. Residents also participate annually in the Residency In-Service Exam, a national skills assessment provided by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
