Murry Laboratory
Our mission is to discover the molecular basis for cardiovascular diseases, use this information to design new therapies, and train the next generation of physician-scientists in cardiovascular and stem cell research.
We are a multidisciplinary group. This stems from the belief that, if one is to study something as complex as a human disease, it is best approached from the widest possible array of approaches. Hence, work in the lab ranges from basic cell and molecular biology, developmental biology, studies of human tissues, to animal models of disease. We work closely with colleagues in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery on clinical trials to promote cardiac repair.
